Passports
A full passport is required for anyone travelling outside their home country. This site assumes that you are resident and were born in the United Kingdom and consequently are eligible to hold a British passport. If you were not born here or you don't live here then you will need to contact the consulate or passport service of your birth country for further information. UK citizens may find all they need to know about passports and apply online via the
Home Office's Identity & Passport Service.
Visas
To check whether or not you will require a visa for the destination/s you are planning to visit we recommend you visit the extensive
World Travel Guide site where you will find everything you need to know about any country in the world - this used to be a printed publication that every travel agent used but now it's an invaluable online tool accessible to all.
Information for visitors to the USA is available
here and you can apply for an electronic travel authority at the
US Customs & Border Protection website. These are normally granted instantly to qualifying applicants and are valid for two years.
For assistance with obtaining visas I can highly recommend
Benmar Passport & Visa Service who will check and then submit your visa application to any foreign embassy based in London.
